Abstract

The book Artificial Intelligence and Financial Behaviour, edited by Ricardo Viale, Shabnam Mousavi, Umberto Filotto and Barbara Alemanni is the third of the Elgar series “Behavioral Financial Regulation and Policy”.

The book is a product of Herbert Simon Society’s programme on behavioural finance created in 2016 together with Bank of Italy and Max Planck Institute for Human Development of Berlin.

The programme aims to analyse the crucial aspects of financial behaviour in relation to emerging phenomena in the financial world.

An important focus is about adaptive features of heuristic financial decision making, how to boost and nudge the financial performances and competences of investors and savers and how to improve the performances of financial organizations and policy makers.

Some of the chapters of the book are a new version of the papers presented at the Herbert Simon Society Workshop on AI and and Finacial Behaviour hold in Rome at Bank of Italy on 28 November 2019.

The book has been realized by the support of Intesa Sanpaolo, Allianz, Banca Aletti, UBI Banca e Credit Suisse.

Special thanks to Elisabetta Nay and Giovanni De Rosa of Herbert Simon Society for their editorial and organizational support.
